B20 Global Institute
The world is facing a crucial turning point marked by rapid technological
advancements,
evolving geopolitical dynamics, and the imminent threat of climate change. To tackle these
challenges and pave the way for a prosperous economic future, dedicated focus and attention
is needed on four key areas: trade, investment, and resilient global value chains; digital
transformation; energy, sustainability, and ESG; and skilling and upskilling of workforce.
To this end, B20 India proposed the establishment of a B20 Global Institute,
formally
announced during the B20 India Summit, to work towards identifying key gaps and divides
that businesses face in their operations and suggest policy measures at a global level that
could strengthen the environment for global trade and investment.
The institute will collaborate with think tanks, international organisations, and
multilateral
institutions and will be based in India and supported by the CII B20 India Secretariat, in
partnership with other B20 stakeholders, to provide backend support to the B20 Secretariat
during each Presidency.
